making creams

This is my 70th year and I decided to celebrate by making healing products.
I have always loved lavender, from creams to lavender shortbread and lavender pillows. I have also known for a while that calendula is a very healing flower. It is used in baby products, for sensitive skins and has anti inflammatory properties.

I am making this cream from calendulas that I grow on the Community Garden and essential lavender oil, some of which I extract from local lavender bushes. I have the best smelling garage in the village I live in as it is stacked with lavender that I have been given from local gardens.

I am using sweet almond and apricot kernal oils as carriers. To this I add Vitamin E and beeswax. I am delighted with the product and am selling a 50ml tin for £5.00 and a 100ml for £9.00

If you are interested you can contact me and I can post to you.

I am also developing shampoo soap bars. I have used bars for a while as it saves on plastic waste and is super convenient to take places. For this I am using coconut oil as it lathers well (very good in hard water locations), olive oil and almond oil. I do generous lashings of essential oils - at the moment I am using Cedarwood. These I sell for £4.00 each.
